Addendum to my recent webinar, Michigan: An Upper Midwest Researcher’s Dream

  • I talked about the Copper Harbor Lighthouse information and other lighthouses, In addition to the link in the syllabus, I added this one in the presentation https://www.lighthousefriends.com
  • One other place covered in my presentation but not in the 9-page syllabus was the Immigration History Research Center Archives at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis. It’s not related to researching our German, French, or even Scandinavian ancestors. Among the countries connected to records held by the IHRC are Croatia, Estonia, Finland, Greece, Italy, Latvia, Poland, Slovakia, Ukraine. The underlined ones have Michigan collections related to immigrants from those countries. https://www.lib.umn.edu/collections/special/ihrca
  • At this point, the webinar is available to subscribers of Legacy Family Tree Webinars. You also need to be a subscriber in order to view the syllabus from each webinar on the site. This is my affiliate link for joining. $49.95 for one year and hundreds of webinars and syllabus accessibility. http://legacy.familytreewebinars.com/?aid=1739

  1. Thanks so much, Paula.

I really enjoyed the presentation. I have already found information on the family I am researching using the Michigan Biographical Index. Yahoo!
