Springtime in Ohio! The OGS Conference

Sign Up Button Showing Website RegistrationHave you signed up yet? The Ohio Genealogical Society Conferences are always great learning and networking events. The 2016 edition takes place at the Great Wolf Lodge in Mason, Ohio. That’s 25 miles north of Cincinnati. The dates are April 28-30 and I hope to see you there.

Pre-conference activities on Wednesday, April 27 include two 4:00 p.m. two-hour workshops.

Thursday, Friday and Saturday events include approximately 86 lectures and several workshops scheduled every day covering all phases of genealogical study, discussions, lineage society inductions, a vendor hall, the OGS annual meeting, special evening events and plenty of genealogical fellowship and fun events.

While at the OGS conference, be sure to stop by the exhibit table of the Genealogical Research Institute of Pittsburgh. The institute takes place in two different weeks: Sunday, June 26 through Friday, July 1 at noon and Sunday, July 17 through Friday, July 22 at noon in Pittsburgh at LaRoche College in Pittsburgh. Choose 1 week or both as did many genealogists last summer. I coordinate and teach in the intermediate genealogy course during the second week.

We are fortunate to have a glorious number of educational opportunities!
