A newsletter from the Minnesota Historical Society tells of this fantastic news. I’ve been advocating for this over many years. I am excited. Fingers crossed for more, too!

Happy days!!! Those of us with St. Paul ancestors finally have hope of learning more about their lives. We should all thank the MNHS digitization team (Joyce, Anne, Aubrey, and Alex). They work in a tiny space down in the History Center, diligently processing the microfilms, cleaning and repairing them as they go. Sadly, Joyce, the digitization supervisor, passed away this summer after a short, intense battle with cancer. Well done!!
Judy,
I didn’t know about Joyce’s passing. Sad.
I also applaud whoever got permission to do the Saint Paul papers!
This is great news. In one search for one of my families there were over 300 hits.
Thanks for the information.

Myke,
That’s way more than I have found! Yet, I found a couple poignant ones and another one to add to the timelines of some people.
Thank you, Paula! I wasn’t aware this had come online. I just had a fun time with it, and found several items on my family I hadn’t seen before. I’m not fond of the interface, but worked around it.
Hi Barb,
I agree on the interface, but I don’t think any of the newspaper digitization sites are as user friendly as they should be. But, it’s a case of what we find is better than the way it used to be!
